Chaplain/Church Services
We do not have a chapel on site. If you want chaplain services, please discuss with your case manager.
Dining
Our cafeteria is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The price for a meal is $5, which includes dessert and a beverage. If you are a family member staying overnight, you may request a menu for breakfast and dinner from our dietary staff and place your order. We have meal vouchers available for $5 that cover the cost of one meal. These can be purchased from our business office on the 2nd floor in administration. Many local restaurants are nearby if you would like to go out for your meals.
Flower/Gift Shop
There is no gift shop on site. However, there are some shops nearby that you can visit, or you can browse the web and place an order for delivery to our facility.
Hours of Visitation
We want to ensure that all our patients get plenty of rest every night, as they have busy schedules. Our visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week. Please note that the front door is locked at 8:00 p.m. for the security of our patients and staff. Please inform your case manager if you need to arrange a visit outside our regular visiting hours.
Parking
Parking is free, and there are plenty of handicap spots available. Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is not responsible for any damages that may occur to your vehicle, so please be sure to remove all valuables from it, and remember to lock it.
Pet Visitation
We allow pet visits for our patients. We require 24-hour notice and that the Pet Visitation form be completed in full, along with a copy of the current vaccination record. Ask your case manager about our pet visitation policy and to receive a Pet Visitation form. The completed form and copy of the vaccination record can be given to the unit secretary for processing.
