What to Bring

Here are just a few suggestions of what to bring when you arrive at our hospital.  You may also be asked to bring your own medications in order to ensure proper medicine management. Please keep all valuable items at home. You will also need to have a caregiver or family member take care of your laundry needs, as our facility does not provide those services:

Bring at least a one-week supply of washable, loose-fitting clothing, including:

  • Pants/Shorts
  • Shirts/Blouses
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Slippers with non-slip soles
  • Outdoor Jacket/Sweater
  • One pair of comfortable walking shoes – preferably tie. Athletic shoes or shoes with non-slip soles are fine. If ankle or foot braces are to be used, talk with your therapist before buying shoes.
  • Pajamas (the hospital gowns and pants available if needed)
  • Hearing aids with batteries (if you use them)
  • Eyeglasses or contact lenses (also, if needed)

Some optional items that you may want to consider:

  • Sweat pants/sweat shirts
  • Walker, cane, and/or wheelchair (the hospital has these, but you may prefer to use personal items)
  • Razor and shaving cream
  • Cosmetics
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, soap, comb/brush)

NOTE: Hospital staff are required to check all personal electrical equipment for safety prior to being approved for use. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Electric razors
  • Radios/Ear phones
  • Hair dryers
