Neurological Rehabilitation


Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth provides a wide range of treatment programs to assist those individuals who may have been recently diagnosed with a neurological condition or those who are living with a neurological disorder. Through our multi-disciplinary approach, each program is designed to meet the patient’s specified needs to improve function and to provide education to reduce the risk of future medical problems.

Individuals with the following diagnoses may benefit from this program:

  • Parkinson’s (newly diagnosed or exacerbated)
  • Multiple Sclerosis (newly diagnosed or exacerbated)
  • Polyneuropathy
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Polio
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Guillain-Barre Syndrome
  • Myasthenia Gravis

Program Features

  • Dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Treatment Team including, but not limited to:
    • Patient and Family
    • Physiatrist (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician)
    • Consulting Physician Specialists
    • Rehabilitation Nurses to Provide 24-Hour Nursing Care
    • Psychologists to Assist with Behavioral, Emotional, and Social Issues
    • Physical Therapist to Assist with Increasing Strength and Mobility
    • Occupational Therapist to Assist with Increasing Everyday Living Skills
    • Respiratory Therapist
    • Case Manager to Assist with Discharge Planning
    • Dietitian to Provide Nutrition Education and Counseling
